Our Field Trip

The first thing we did on our field trip was we went on the hayride. We saw decorations like ghosts and dancing skeletons. We saw a giant spider. Trashaad saw a dead dude. Robert saw a fake martian.

We got to pick pumpkins from the pumpkin patch!

We had to be careful not to get a smushed pumpkin. We cleaned off the dirt from our pumpkins. We got back on the hayride with our pumpkins and drove by a strawberry patch.
We went to go see how apple cider was made and then we went to a musical show.

Then we went to see Granny. We learned about the old times and even got to see a slingshot toy.

Then we got to eat lunch. Thank goodness, we were soooooo hungry! After lunch we went to see the animals.

Finally we took a class picture.

Matter

Today we learned about matter. Matter is everywhere and everything is matter! Matter can be liquid, solid, or gas. Solids don't change their shape unless someone changes it for them. Liquids can change their shape if you change what the liquid is in. One example of a gas is the air around us, or the wind that blows in your face. The air is made up of different types of gases. We can use our senses to figure out if something is a solid, liquid or gas.
