The first and second day

We learned about the rules. They are 1. Be respectful. 2. Follow directions. 3. Try hard. We learned not to run, except on the playground and in PE. Every day at school, we say the Pledge of Allegiance. We always do great work!

We learned there is a banner that counts how many days we've done our homework. If one person or two people forget their homework or do not do their homework we have to put our count back to zero. On day 10 that ALL of us have our homework, we ALL get prizes.

We decorated our homework folders today. It was raining outside, so we played at centers instead.

Welcome to Second Grade!

I hope you all have had a wonderful summer and are as excited as I am to start our year together! This year, as a class, we'll be working on this blog. Sometimes I will post information and happenings to the blog, and sometimes students will be asked to post their work or summaries of what has been going on in class. This will also be the place you'll be able to see pictures of us hard at work at school. I would like to encourage families to leave us comments after we post! I look forward to meeting all of you very soon!
